KRED is an independent, non-commercial research platform that publishes Korean and U.S. macro-financial time series on the open web. Alongside indicators carried over from published statistics, it publishes original estimates that KRED computes itself, so a reader sees the observed data and the modeled quantities derived from it in one place.

The modeled series span the decomposition of the government bond curve into risk-neutral rates and term premia, shadow short rates for periods at the effective lower bound, risk-neutral yield curves with density forecasts, the natural rate of interest, near-term recession probability, financial conditions and systemic stress, conditional quantiles for growth, inflation and the exchange rate, and option-implied moments for the equity market. Real-time overnight futures charts and live indicative net asset values for overseas-tracking exchange-traded funds are published alongside them.

Every indicator page states its definition, the estimation steps behind it, the academic work its method follows, and a statistical test reported for that indicator alone. Estimates are never edited by hand but regenerated on a fixed schedule, and the whole platform is published in Korean, English and Japanese. Series data is licensed under Creative Commons Attribution NonCommercial NoDerivatives 4.0.

KRED at kred.dev is an independently run project. It is not a government body, a central bank or a commercial data vendor, the estimates published here are not official statistics, and it is unaffiliated with any other project that uses the same acronym.
